Go get ’em!

0

I have a lot of students who have exams during this period and so obviously I hope they do well and like to wish them all the best. I thought you might like to have a few alternative phrases you can use on these, or similar, occasions – interviews, presentations, new job etc.

“Good luck!”

“Best of luck!”

“Wishing you lots of luck!”

“Fingers crossed!”

“Best wishes!”

“I wish you well!”

“I wish you all the best!”

“Wishing you well!”

Then there some very interesting idiomatic expressions. However, they are not to be used for every situation as they are informal and colloquial.

“Knock ‘em dead!” ( ‘em = them)

“Go get ‘em!”

“Take no prisoners!”

“Go for it!”

“May the Force be with you!” (very Star wars!)

“Break a leg!”(more often used in the theatre or musical environments –as it is considered bad luck to say “Good luck!” )

So for all of you who are preparing for exams over the next few weeks I wish you all the best! Go get ‘em!

Enjoy learning!
